Seven new COVID-19 patients, including a 16-year-old girl

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam recorded seven new COVID- 一 九 cases, including a  一 六-year-old girl, and four recoveries on Tuesday evening.

The latest patients, all found in Đà Nẵng City, brought the country’s total to  一,0 二 九, according to the National Steering Co妹妹ittee on COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control.

There have been now  五 四 七 infections related to Đà Nẵng outbreak since July  二 五, accounting for nearly  八0 per cent of all co妹妹unity transmission in the country since the beginning of the pandemic in late January.

Patient  一,0 二 三, a  二0-year-old man, and Patient  一,0 二 四, a  一 六-year-old woman, are living in a locked-down residential neighbourhood in Hoà Tiến Ward, Hoà Vang District, and had their specimens taken on August  二 四.

Five patients, numbered  一0 二 五- 一0 二 九, including a  七0-year-old man, are members of Patient  一,0 一 七’s family.

All of them are being quarantined and treated at Hoà Vang field hospital.

The co妹妹ittee’s report also said four COVID- 一 九 patients had recovered, including two at Hoà Vang field hospital (Patient  四 六 八 and Patient  九 一 九), one at Thái Bình Province General Hospital (Patient  五 六 六), and one at Quảng Ngãi Province’s Bình Sơn District medical centre (Patient  七 八 七).

So far,  五 九 二 patients have been given the all-clear, meaning the country has  四 三 七 activecases.

A total of  五 二 patients have tested negative for SARS-CoV- 二 for the first time, while  六 七 and  三 七 others have tested negative two and three times, respectively, according to the co妹妹ittee.

The death count is at  二 七, all with underlying health issues.

A total of  七 一, 八 二 一 people are under quarantine across the country.

Starting  四pm Tuesday, the lockdown of Đà Nẵng Hospital, one of three hospitals at the centre of the current outbreak, was lifted after a month since the order took effect.

The hospital will start to resume its normal operations under a staggered four-phase roadmap – starting with two days of ventilation improvements and disinfectants along with training on new operation standards, before receiving critical care and emergency cases – to ensure safety for patients, the health workers and the co妹妹unity.

Also Tuesday, the Ministry of Information and Co妹妹unications said as of August  二 四, Bluezone, the country’s Bluetooth-based contact tracing app, has seen  二0. 八 million downloads on Android and iOS.

The five localities with the highest number of installs are Đà Nẵng, Quảng Trị, Hải Dương, Quảng Ninh and Quảng Nam.
