Several automobile manufacturers recall vehicles in 2023

HÀ NỘI — Several car manufacturers in the Việt Nam market have issued recalls to address various issues in their vehicles in  二0 二 三.

Hyundai recalls  一 七, 六 七0 Santa Fe vehicles

Hyundai initiated a recall in February  二0 二 三, involving  一 七, 六 七0 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles produced between January  三0,  二0 二 一, and October  一 五,  二0 二 二. The recall was due to an error related to the front seat belt tensioner. In certain collision scenarios, the airbag detonator could activate, causing an increase in pressure in the front seat belt tensioner's air generator. This pressure overload could lead to bursting components, potentially endangering the occupants. The recall was expected to continue until February  一,  二0 三 三, for imported vehicles and January  一0,  二0 三 三, for domestically assembled vehicles.

Ford recalls  三, 二 二 三 Everest and Explorer vehicles

In September  二0 二 三, Ford announced a recall for the  二0 二 一- 二0 二 三 Ford Everest and  二0 一 八- 二0 二 三 Explorer models, affecting a total of  三, 二 二 三 vehicles. The recall included  一, 二 五 六 Everest vehicles manufactured between November  二 四,  二0 二 一, and February  三,  二0 二 三, which were equipped with faulty engine control module software. This software issue could limit the charging current to the battery, resulting in unintended battery drain and insufficient voltage to restart the vehicle. Additionally,  一, 九 六 七 Explorer vehicles were recalled due to an error with the  三 六0-degree camera display screen. Ford dealers offered free repairs for the affected vehicles, with the recall starting on August  三 一 for Everest vehicles and September  五 for Explorer vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz recalls nearly  三,000 vehicles

Mercedes-Benz issued two recall orders in December, affecting a total of  二, 九0 九 vehicles. The first recall involved  二, 二 五 八 vehicles with faulty fuel pump systems, including models such as C 二00, E 一 八0, E 二00, E 三00, GLC 二00, S 四 五0, Maybach GLS  四 八0  四MATIC, AMG GT  五 三, GLS  四 五0  四Matic, and V 二 五0. These vehicles were produced between August  二0 二 一 and September  二0 二 二, with  一, 八00 of them already delivered to customers. The second recall involved  六 五 一 Mercedes-Benz GLC (X 二 五 四) cars manufactured in Việt Nam between November  二0 二 二 and May  二0 二 三, with  五 一 七 vehicles already delivered. The recall was related to an error with the tow hook thread hole.

Audi recalls  四 四 五 Q 二, A 六, A 七 cars

Audi conducted a significant recall in August, involving  四 四 五 vehicles. The recall included  一 九 七 Audi Q 二 vehicles manufactured from January  一,  二0 一 二, to December  三 一,  二0 二 一, with plastic side panels (decorative panel on the outside of the C-pillar) that could partially detach. In some cases, these panels could fall off while the vehicle was in motion, posing a danger to vehicles behind. Audi Việt Nam also conducted a parallel recall for  二 四 八 Audi A 六 and Audi A 七 units produced between January  一,  二0 二0, and December  一 四,  二0 二 二, due to issues related to fuel sensors. The affected vehicles were inspected and repaired free of charge within approximately two hours.
